چکیده

Three–phase inductions machines are the primary consumers of electric power in industrialized countries, they can typically consume between 40 to 50% of all the generated power (Thomsom et al., 2001). Diagnostic testing of induction machines is therefore of tremendous importance in many applications, and has been the focus of intense research for many years (Aller et al., 2002), (Antonino-Daviu et al., 2006), (Briz et al., 2008), (Benbouzid, 2000), (Douglas et al. 2003), (Douglas et al. 2004), (Douglas et al. 2005), (Douglas et al. 2005-b), (Faliang Niu & Jin Huang, 2005), (Nandi & Toliyat, 2005), (Thomson & Fenger, 2001), (Supangat et al., 2006). Based on the results from failure surveys, the failure mechanism for induction machines can be divided into the following four general categories, with the percentage of total failure shown (Thomsom et al., 2001).  Stator related: 40%  Rotor related: 10%  Bearing related: 40%  Other: 10%

Detection of broken rotor bars in squirrel cage induction motor using filter and wavelet analysis

A new method has been developed for the detection of broken rotor bars fault in squirrel cage induction motor during startup regimes. The incipient detection of fault is made by using DWT analysis of FIR low pass filtered original startup transient current signal. The extracted particular characteristic evolution of the time-varying signal is used as a fault index. The method was tested using h...

Detection of Broken Rotor Bars in Induction Motors Using Wavelet Analysis

In this paper a new method for the detection of broken rotor bars in induction machines is introduced. The startup transient current of an induction machine is used as the medium for diagnoses. The fundamental component is extracted using an algorithm that predicts the instantaneous amplitude and frequency during startup. The residual current is then analyzed using wavelets and a comparison is ...

Fault Detection and Classification in Double-Circuit Transmission Line in Presence of TCSC Using Hybrid Intelligent Method

In this paper, an effective method for fault detection and classification in a double-circuit transmission line compensated with TCSC is proposed. The mutual coupling of parallel transmission lines and presence of TCSC affect the frequency content of the input signal of a distance relay and hence fault detection and fault classification face some challenges. One of the most effective methods fo...

Rotor Fault Diagnosis in Three Phase Induction Motors Using the Wavelet Transform

In this paper the faults diagnosis of induction machines based on the discrete wavelet transform (DWT) is detailed. The wavelet decomposition is used to extract the information from a signal over a wide range of frequencies. This analysis is performed in both time and frequency domains. The Daubechies wavelet is selected for the analysis of the stator current. Wavelet components appear to be us...

Broken rotor bar fault detection in inverter-fed squirrel cage induction motors using stator current analysis and fuzzy logic

This paper presents the implementation of broken rotor bar fault detection in an inverter-fed induction motor using motor current signal analysis (MCSA) and prognosis with fuzzy logic. Recently, inverter-fed induction motors have become very popular because of their adjustable speed drive. They have been used in many vital control applications such as rolling mills, variable speed compressors, ...
